A typical 50' wide lot and the Owner's desire to preserve the rear yard by locating the garages at the street-front side presented a challenge. By treating the double garage as two separate distinct forms, the use of carriage doors of 2 types, bringing the upper roof all the way down and by breaking up the forms, the house relates well to the street. Vaulted ceilings and a central skylight bring height and interest to all second floor rooms.
